Does this sound farfetched?

I know a guy that has 2 power acoustic 12s in a prefab ported box. He keeps telling everyone that he thinks he can hit over 146 db in his honda civic. I was just wondering if this sounds farfetched to any of you guys.

He has no sound deadener whatsoever in his civic.

146 is easier than you might think with today's car audio equipment...

Even so just for being an PA punk I say that he is probably off by about 5 db automatically.

Thats what Im thinking. But Im not going to say anything. Ill let him find out on saturday. I guess there is some competition down in Leesburg saturday night and a bunch of my friends are going.

I am pretty sure that the mic is going to be AudioControl. So Ill prolly do a 146 or 147.

But I bet ur right. He'll prolly do a low 140s.

If it helps any, the guy has a volfenhag amp. I think its rated at like 900 or 1000 rms.

Alright I will. My friend went to the last show in Leesburg and said I could come in first place because no one there was hitting over 144. So ill let you guys know.
