An aftermarket removable faceplate case?. Im looking for something that will hold my faceplate for my clarion unit. I dont like the one that send with the unit, i want more protection, i was thinking of a bowl case but i dont htink i can find one long enough.

so the question is " Do they make aftermarket detatchable faceplate cases?"

I wouldn't think it'd be too hard to add extra foam to your "stock" case to make it safer. What exactly is insufficient with the one that came with it? I never use mine, just tossed the face in the center console, never got scuffed at all.

and it doesnt have alot of foam in it, i want the front of the face to have more coverage, i dont like my shit to have scratches at all and i always take it inside with me because i have had stuff stolen before, and i dont feel like losing all the money i spent on my flip out screen.

Maybe you could find one from a deck that had a bigger face? Failing that, shouldnt be too hard to make something yourself.
