Does the speaker wire matter?

Hey guys, I have a few feet of some really nice 12 gauge high quality speaker wire I am going to use to wire my subwoofers, the thing is.. I may not have enough to run it into the box, and back out of the box. If I don't have enough should I just go buy some from Wal-Mart or what should I do?

go to walmart and get more 12ga. People will tell you it doesnt really matter, but be consistent.

That looks right as long as you chave the d2 version already. If you havent got the subs or amp yet, get the dual 4 version and you can get a 1000 watt amp @ 1ohm for chaper than that kicker

I already have the speakers and the amp, so I guess that isn't an option anymore. I'm just waiting on the box to arrive tomorrow. Appreciate the advice though
