Does the Eclipse 8443 have a DSP??

hey guys i got to talking with a buddy of mine last night who thinks his old kenwood headunit it the best thing ever made, and we started talkin about it, it has an 11-band EQ and a digital sound processor, i know my 8443 has a 13 band EQ, but does it have a dsp??

your eclipse pwns any kenwood. ask him if his kenwood has low impedence rca's, and non clipping rca's at full volume, and then proceed to laugh in his face.

yea eclipse will kill that kenwood when it comes to DSP. the 8443 i believe has a Parametric EQ which is obviously better than the graphic equalizer that i suppose that kenwood has. If its the same as my 8455, then it should be a 10 band PEQ in which in pro mode will dedicate a 5 band PEQ to each the mids and highs.

cool ... i kinda thought it would, but he bought this thing in like 96 or 97 and its a double din, and he was talking about how great it was and noone makes them like that anymore .

he said "I have 11-band EQ and a digital sound processor, thats what makes the sound."

His deck does sound really good in his extended cab F150, hes got two clarion pro audio DVC 10's in a downfiring pro box powered by the 1800 watt kenwood amp... i just didnt want to get into it with him when i didnt know all that for sure. lol and his mother in law was like yea they just dont make them like that anymore
