Does Peanut Butter go bad ????

The new goverment gives me all sorts of free food...actually more than i can keep in my cabinets...since i don't have a job and am disabled...anyway today i pulled out a new jar of peanut butter since i have at least 40 of them and it seems to have a bad oder...i checked the date and its dated Dec 26 2012 so I'm pretty confused about this....

I wouldn't worry about it. Im sure the dog will still enjoy the experience as much as you do.

I usually buy the dog steaks and hamburger meat since they don't allow you to purchase dog food on the card....he eats better than most people do...lol
