Does my HU have remote on?

Trying to finalize my system and it appears that I will need a cable that goes from the amp to the HU to tell itself when to turn on and off. My stock HU as the amp built in. (07 4runner). Do I even have a remote turn on wire on the back of my HU?

What would happen if there is none?

you can run it off of a 12 volt accessory iirc.

Look around on google and see if you can find somebody that has done an install on the car that you have. It's a possibility the stock head unit has a remote wire output, but I wouldn't bet on it. As to what Memphis said, I believe you can hook up a 12v source to a switch, then run the remote wire from there, and mount the switch somewhere where you your driver seat is. The only thing is you're going to have to turn it on and off when you enter or leave the car.

Be safe and look around google to see if you can find somebody that has done an install on your car.
