The situation is that I want to buy a 4 channel amp but i will be buying the first pair of speakers at the same time but the second pair later. Will it hurt the amp if im only using 2 channels of the 4 channel amp while saving up for the second pair?

thanks in advance for the help...

I'm sure you are getting the point, but no, it will cause no problem. You may consider bridging the amp to give more power to the front speakers until you buy the rear. Many people don't like rear at all.
