does hifonics brutus do rated power

Interested in the bx1605d, or bx1500dLooking to possibly run it at 1 ohm, hopefully putting out 1600/1500 watts. I know a lot of people ran these w/ their xxx's, do they actually put out that much power??

I'm not worried about the power it puts out at different impedences, or what other models put out, just these amps at 1 ohm setting....

As everyone else has said, NO. But what no one else has said is this is only from hear say. There was a bench test result posted do a search for it. Good budget amp IMO.

And I would love to know the output of the BX2005D

Yeah, I remember someone did something like that, and although the hifonics usually won't put out the rated power they said that this amp (bx1605d) at 1ohm DID put out 1600....I'm just not sure, so I was kinda double checking....this guy didn't just say it, he actually tested it and gave all the numbers he came up with.

If he provided pics of the bench test the cool. But many of people will argue that they do not produce rated power.

At least keep in mind they are rated @ 14.4 and in my experience are very decent amps.

It might do 1500 rms if it is getting a constant 14.4v... but not likely on a standard 12-volt system.

They are solid budget amps if that makes a difference. They will do somewhat close to their rated power maybe a 100rms lower but that would still be an inaudible difference

overrated. it COULD do rated power as mentioned above but chances are most people who run amps dont have the greatest electrical system on their vehicles.

if i really wanted 1000rms, id look into the brutus bx1205d. if i wanted 1200rms, id look into the bx1500d. you get the point

still very nice solid amps. i personally owned the brutus bx500d, and now the bx1000d. i will still contunie to stick with these amps as my budget isnt the best.

Id say it would do rated at 15-15.5v

I would say it does a little less than rated. Maybe a couple hunderd watts.
