I have a jbl 600.1 amp running 2 12 alpine E's hooked up with 8 guage wire. The power wire is about 15 feet long and the ground wire is about 4 feet long , it sounds allright but i was wondering if I was to replace the 8 guage with 4 guage and shorten the power and ground wire would I even notice a difference?

Your amp would.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Ever drink a thick milkshake thru a long narrow straw?

make sure that the power and ground wire are the same gauge. when using bigger gauge wire, you let more energy flow into the amp. bigger gauge is better but also a pain in the *** to work with

I have them in a sealed box and they sound pretty good! I would definatly label them a SQ sub, they have the SAME EXACT SPECS as the type S, but SVC. Definatly $150 well spent for the pair!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
