Does grinding mean the sub has gone bad?

When one was playing badly i showed him and he said that it sounded like a loose coil or somethin. After he fixed it he said that there would be a slight noise at low volume. Like static. He said this was something that would go away over time because it would re-position itself over time. Idk

It sounds like tinsel leads broke and he probably soldered them back on, I've seen that on many kickers.
He did say something about some connections too.... Dont really know because he spoke in spanish and said stuff like "bobina".

Problems like these are why I'm not a fan of Kicker //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
These were actually my first subs. My brother let me use them. I had two amps running. Once i heard about dd, i made it my life goal to own one. Sold the amp and found a dd on craigslist for cheap.decided to sell the amp. Met both guys (buyer/seller)in the same place parking lot and sold my amp amd got the sub within 20 minutes. Best day ever! Lol
