So guys off topic but I was wondering, To work in the install bay or whatever it's called at CC do you need any type of certification or what? And I assume bestbuy would require the same as CC. I need a new job is all.

Nope. The head install bay guy told me that most of the people he hires have no background in car audio whatsoever. But, he also said that about 75% of their business is installing XM/Sirius radio...

It's random. I've been hired at two different stores both for the roadshop. First time as sales and second time as an installer.
Second time I had to take a drug test. My manager said he doesn't even think they test for THC.

I'm pretty sure they would test for THC though, the standard drug test that most companies use tests for 5 different substances and I know THC is one of them.

It's completely random, one in five people are tested. You'll know when you go in to do paperwork. Also, it's only when you apply.
I was tested, had no problems what so ever...cuz I'm not a fagg0t who does drugs.

Both stores I've worked at the S&I managers refuse to put you in the bay if you don't know anything about car audio/electronics.

I was a salesman for the first year I worked there...they finally moved me to the bay.

I dunno, I haven't had my interview yet, probably minimum wage or something close to it, although someone would have to verify that.

Depends on the store. My old store starting pay for sales was $9.00 an hour and installs was $9.50 an hour.

The store I'm at now... sales starts at $8.75 and installs starts at $9.25.
