Ok, there are so many different views of this question, but does armorall take the paint off and start to make it chip and peel if you use it a lot. I have heard from so many different people that use it and say that after a while their paint started to chip n peel, but then again there are tons of people that use it and love it forever.

WHAT IS YOUR OPINION?

My brother just bought a ton of it to use on his new G35 and I told him not to use it. He asked why and I explained this to him. He later went on to a car detail place and they said they use it all the time, and that its a myth that it takes the paint off over time.

put it this way:

would armor all stay in business if it ruined the interior crap? no. it will start to make the dash/trim begin to fade and crack only LONGGGGGGGGGG after the car itself doesn't run. unless you have a car that lasts 2348238473 years and armor all it every day, it won't hurt the car. i work at a detail/car wash and that's what i've been told. cloister wash and lube baby woooo!

I detailed my girlfriend's father's car last Father's Day and he was complaining because I used Armor All on his tires. He stated that someone once told him it causes the tires to dry rot and crack. That will be the last time I wash his ****ing POS.

i've never used armor all on paint, but, i've used it on interior panels though. as well as meguiar's, wd40, and damp rags.

in my experiences, i would rate them from best to worst results: damp rag > wd40 > meguiar's > armor all.

I believe that way back, the original Armor All could cause stuff to dry out if you stopped using it. I don't believe that the formula that they've had for the last 15 or 20 years causes this anymore

for some reason my 99 silverado has the dash paint coming off. I wonder if its because the previous owner used armo all. I have noticed that certain car sprays fo scent can **** up the dash, so spray only in carpet.

So you actually havent had experience with long term use of it.

I found out some more information today. I guess there is sulfur or something in the ingredients which could cause the panels to crack and dry out, along with the paint. I had to sand the dash of a 1996 corvette for about 3 hours just to get all the peeling paint off the dash. The guy used armorall for the life of the car......THIS IS long term use im talking about. 2 years might not quite do it. Anyone else have opinions..??

moron. Armour all isn't for tires.

ive been useing it for about 7 years now on my 92 camaro, on the dash, lether centerl consol, and other pannels on the doors, etc, and love it, it leaves a nice protective film on the dash that you can feel, not slimey or anything like that, but you can feel it and makes it nice and shiney...

Love the stuff
