Does anyone know the diameter for theses subs?

yep, just google other 8" subs and you will see that most 8" subs want a cutout of 7.25-7.5(some will require smaller others may need larger do to magnet boot)

most packaging comes with a cardboard ring that supports the sub perfectly and is the right diameter for mounting. I trace this ring onto the piece I'm cutting. Just flip it over with the sub still in it to make sure that cardboard ring is a pretty tight fit around the sub before you use it as a template.

My DD never came with that, that's why I was asking. I had a Pioneer Premier that did.

Strange.....how did they keep it from flopping around in the box? I've bought 3-4 brands of subs and they all came with rings. I have some NOS PG ti 12's that I'm getting ready to mount that has a whole separate template that's the same as the packaging. I guess the only thing you can do is go by the specs, measure, or take off the gasket and trace. Easiest way to make a circle is with a nail/tack, string, and a pencil. Like a ghetto protractor. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif
