I had single FI Q 12. In 2.0 cubes tuned to 32 off of about 1000 watts. I really liked it, pretty loud and sounded great. I had Kenwood head unit and Sundown amps at the time, with DLS Components. Its a good single sub setup IMO

Its going to be negligible. They both sound great but the Q will have quite a bit more output, but it can handle twice the power daily

The Q has a very high performance per dollar ratio compared to similar drivers.

You cant go wrong with either. I got a buddy thats only giving his single Q about 600 watts and it sounds great, it doesnt need 1000 watts. The SSD will have more output, but lose a little clarity

I had a single 12" Q in a 2.5^ft box tuned to 32hz running off 925 watts rms. The sub killed the low notes and sounded awesome while doing it. Overall the sub sounded great while getting loud for a single 12. Wish it would fit in my new vehicle because I loved it.
