The amp should be blocking off any tones above 90hz with the way it's setup, so it's something with your amp crossover if it's still playing 120hz.

well like I said I havet played the whole song yet. so will there just be no sound once it goes past 90hz? and is it possible its turned up too loud cmpared to on music and that's why it sounds like its gonna die?

If you're reaching the limit of the sub mechanically or thermally it'll sound bad, try turning your gain down a little and try it after that. Is your bass boost turned on/up at all?

no the bass boost isn't on at all. see when im jam on the sub with music I turn my radio to 60 and its fine. today playing the sweep I turned it to 60(volume) and in the beginging its like the sub was gonna die. is it cuz its tooo low of a freq?

also does any1 know what they mean about the mono signal? does it mean I unplug one RCA? they say something like "the tone will go in and out because we send 20hz to one signal and 20.5 to the other"

...why are you turning your radio to 60? Are you sure the sub sounded like it was gonna die and it wasn't just what the tone sounds like out of that sub?

you're turning your hu up way too much and clipping the signal

the signal is sent to your amp .. and then it amplifies it

it gets even worse when your sending a clipped signal to your box that is way under tuning and it unloads the sub making it clip even more

if you're box is tuned to 37 hz stay away from the low low stuff

and you should be turning your hu to 45 out of 60... not 60 out of 60

ITS 60 OUT OF 80 its not clipping. and no im not sure its just not the way the tone sounds out of this exact sub. I've never played tones on any sub that's why im asking. and I will burn whoever wants a copy I don't mind.

i used to turn my 18 up maxed my hu all the time.thats bad? haha whatever,it took it like a champ and got loud as FUK.i would play that same hz sweep u were talkin about and the low low shit would just be moving the sub pretty much and not to much sound but it would SHAKE THE SHIT outta my truck
