does 98 silverado have RCAs in the stock CD player

Now that you have mastered the use of the english language I think it's about time you started installing car stereos!! To answer your question...There is a 99.9% chance your stock CD player does NOT have RCA's. You'll have to buy a line converter if you want to add an amp.....or look for an amp that has driver level inputs (not recommended but will work). The positive wire on your battery supplies your entire vehicle's electrical system from the starter, dome lights and clock to your radio, power windows and spark plugs. All these components lead back through the metal body of your vehicle through the engine and back to the battery through the black wire. If you were to install a high current device such as an amplifier the most efficient way to get power to that device would be to run an appropriately sized wire from it, directly to the positive battery terminal. To complete this connection all one would have to do is run a wire from the device to a highly conductive portion of your vehicles body, as this is considered ground. This also gives you the advantage of being able to "branch off" and add a fuse to just a certain portion of your cars electrical system, so if there is a failure it will not destroy your entire vehicle.
