not sure what all vehicles they will work on but I am having a dual alternator bracket made for my 2000 Durango and thought may be some others would be interested in one? Mine is a 5.2L and that is all I can guarantee fitment on is the 5.2L durango but i KNOW there are many others it would work on. the only "modification" needed would be a longer belt (obviously) and a cold air intake, you might have to bend the AC lines and dipstick a little too. The air box was just in the way so I removed it and put a cold air intake on there for plenty of space, MIGHT work with the factory air box, I can check that out in a couple days when they give me the prototype.
the second alternator would have to be a GM large case with the mounting points directly across from each other because that is what they are making mine for. those are of course one of the cheapest alternators anyways so that works out well too. this is the case that would be used with this bracket http://www.alternatorparts.com/10-si-1a.jpg Wiring would be up to you, I took my 300A Ohio Generator alt to a local shop and they converted it to a SINGLE wire unit for $40 so... nothing to wire AT ALL for me except the 1/0 for my batteries....
you will have to use your imagination but this is basically where the second alt. would sit. don't worry about how close it looks in spots, there is a solid 3" plus all the way around the second alt, no clearance issues in ANY way. It would obviously sit back a little ways and line up with all the stock pulleys, my arm was getting tired trying to hold that fat hog in there and take a picture so....
price depends on the material used but I am thinking 1/4" stainless would work well and that would probably make them be around $75~ each.

I was also told some jeeps as wellI have basically the same engine as you (3.9L V6) but I don't need a dual alt setup...
This would fit any Dodge Dakota/Durango/Ram with the 3.9/5.2/5.9 engine.
