Yep, i use soap and warm water with a toothbrush. Ive been neglecting mine for awhile considering that i keep a pair for 1-2 years.

I buy $30 sneakers from Marshalls and throw them away when they fall apart without regard for their appearance. Sneakers are casual. Wear dress shoes if you want to look nice.

the only time i would wash them is if i got them super-muddy or something, and even then i use boots for those days..

if theyre white shoes, heres what works best:

1.) Soft Scrub. Seriously. put some soft scrub on paper towel, it takes away any marks on white shoes and black scuffs. just dont let it sit on your shoe and wipe it off quick.

2.) wash your f*cking feet

i wash mine with Murphy's Oil Soap and I use bleach for white laces. I do it quite often and have a pair of 2 year old Nike Shox that still look new. Dirty shoes to me indicate that someone doesn't take care of themselves.
