Don't worry about getting the biggest, baddest, best subwoofer for SQ. In my opinion, a high quality amp & adequate processing on a mediocre sub/speaker will sound better than a cheap amp/HU processing on top of the line speakers/subs.

Bang for the buck; the Image Dynamics ID line are awesome. The money you save with those then can be used to buy a better amp or a DSP.

pretty darn sure the Dayton is cheaper than the ID. so how is he saving money going that route?
