I also prefer textured TP over smooth TP. The texture forms something of a shit-trap, and grabs the crap outta your crack. Smooth stuff just kind of smears it around.

Yeah, crumpling leaves too much of a chance to get some on your hands.

I must say though, sometimes in public bathrooms with that disgusting 1 ply stuff I'll do a crumple fold combo to soften it up a little. That stuffs like sandpaper!

Sometimes I'll put my fingers together, flat (prayer style) and do three or four revolutions, then use that.
