science comes with facts, you dont have facts jesus lived, god lived, or anything. therefore your point is just as irrelivant as "the big bang". Why is hard to believe evolution when you can believe that some guy died for someone he knew he would NEVER meet, or NEVER see. why is it that you believe that something thousands of years old is true, but cant grasp the fact that evolution IS possible.

for example, things change over time correct? a fish can start off as a fresh water fish, but as evolution does its thing, it can hold itself in salt water. and the same goes for salt to fresh. its been proven SCIENTIFICALLY......unlike your "religion". My father would die for me, he would die for anyone he loves, and he has FAR surpassed the age of 33. Why is it that someone who couldnt live PAST midlife, and die for us (people he didnt know would even EXIST) is believed.

Now im not a scientoligist or whatever that wierdo tom cruise is, or an evolutionist or whatever u wanna call it. I don't believe in god, but I also dont believe in waiting to get married to have ***, and dont believe weed can kill someone. Does my beliefs, or disbeliefs I should say, make you mad? If so............its people like you that think faith is the bottom answer. In my opinion, its fact over fiction, and well......theres no FACTS any of this religious leader deal ever took place, just a book that says some guy was stupid enough to drag his own cross to his resting place let alone not fight to get out of the situation.

I HOPE I offended you.
There are actually more proofs that Jesus Christ did exist and walk the Earth than there is evidence for Shakespeare existing. As far as Bible validity, it is widely acknowledged by secular professors as being the most validated document in antiquity.

i never said my logic makes sense, or that i am a scientist. but this logic does make sense: if there is no official record of an event happening, and it cannot be scientifically proven that it did happen, and we have no explanation for why it could have possibly happened. it probably didnt happen.
Ok, prove scientifically that your great great great great grandmother existed.

That may not be the best example. Some people have very detailed family trees and if the body was exumed (sp?) you could test DNA and prove the relationship, so yes he could prove his great great great great grandmother existed, not to mention that since he is here, that in itself is proof that he had a g g g g grandmother. If there was any way to establish a blood line that dated back to the man that was aparently Jesus Christ than you could make the same argument but unfortunatly for many christians out there, no such physical evidence exists, not to public knowledge at least.

The quick and easy God test. This will tell you if you believe in God. Take your hand and put it up in front of your face. Now answer the following question: What are you looking at? If your answer is "my hand" you have just discovered God. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif That is to say that you have just reminded yourself that YOU ARE God and that YOU are not your hand, nor are you your heart, your feet, your brain, etc. You are an incarnate of and have God powers. Think about it!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

That makes no sense to me at all.

If you are able to recoginze that fact that you are NOT your hand by saying "my hand" (which infers ownership) you have discoverd your self. Get it?? In other words, YOU are not your body, you just live there. Only a God can take life and give life. Can you do that? What I'm trying to help you realize is that you are an individuation (a piece of cosmic star dust) of God's likeness. There is no seperation. That is the grand illusion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

There is much debate even within Chrsitianity on free will. Look at it this way, the Bible says that God knew you before you even entered the world. God knew us individually and he knew everything that would happen before it was even created. So if God knew all this, if he knew sin would come into the world, and he knew there would be murder, ****, and everything else, could he not have changed it if he wanted to? Or did he not let it be? The fact is that God could have planned everything out differently if he had wanted to, but he didn't, so everything that happens is how God has planned it from the beginning, therefore there is no free will, everything has been pre-determined.
Free will vs. predestination is a very heated debate in the Bible, but if you truly read and understand the Bible, you will believe in predestination. Especially if you become saved like I have.
I would just like to say I completely agree with 99% of what you say, the 1% I would disagree with is the issue fo free will, it takes a long time to explain the mechanics but I do not see in my mind a conflict between God knowing everything that will happen and allowing it and our free will, I firmly believe they can exist at the same time. In fact if the church leaders had better logistic abilities there wouldn't be such a huge debate over it. You may enjoy a book called Logic, by Isaac Watts I believe. If you read your Bible you will see instances where God "tests the heart to see what we will do", it's not that He doesn't know what will happen, it's just that until we make that choice it hasn't happened yet (in our scheme of time at least). Also my study of quantum mechanics has led me to some fantastic realms which suggets that time is not what we think it is at all, and that it is far more malleable than we have ever believed, especially when not bound in our four dimensional braneworld.

Ding ding ding!!! Bingo!
Look, there is no "1 right religion" out of all of them because NONE of them are right. Religion in itself is against God and God is against religion. Religion IS the building and steeple. Religion is the disjoining of the unity of people. Religion is calling non people "them". Religion is the set of DEEDS and steps and hokus pokus that preachers insist you must do to show your faith. Religion is offering presents and praying to statues. Religion is confusion. Religion is cause for arguments, hate, and war. Being "religious" is a very bad thing and the people who trained someone into thinking differently are wrong (and religious). Anything that is outside of God is religion. Yes, I'm saying the building they call "the church" is religion because the reality is that God's people are the church, together -- not the building they sit in to listen to one man (or woman) enlighten the flock with his infinite religious knowledge of God's will based on some translation of the Bible and writings of his elder religious counterparts.

The crappy feeling you get in your gut when you see another evangelist go down in flames, or listen to the overly-religious young man on the street telling people about condemnation, or the things your cousin has to do in church that seem a little "off", or the aunt and uncle who are proud "non-denominational church" regulars who just love shoving themselves down your throat so they can feel better about themselves... it's all religion and that's why it makes you sick, and that's what turns people away from faith -- NOT God.

Look into it for yourself. You can actually find the truth. It's out there. And there are litterally millions of members of The Church around the world, some likely in your town/city (hint: in the phone book you'll find them under: "The Church in "). I've been a slacker for quite a few years and haven't met with the Church in a while, but before that, the meetings I went to were the only times I didn't leave feeling more empty than I did before going in the first place.

Sorry for the long post. Carry on.

If God is against all religion then how are you supposed to find Him? Where is the right path to get close to God? Even Satan himself has a religion, so where is the counterpart? I think you are very confused...
