oh ok so any other amp you woulkd suggest? i'm think the colossus since it can be ran at 2 ohms and that will be less straijn on my electrical system

ohm loads dont have to do with it,its amps draw.............which is from watts and effieciency of the amp itself. You can have a 2ohm loaded amp pull more current(amps) then a eff. amp at a load of .5 ohms.

Thats maximum current draw, as in you will never see that much drawn unless you are playing sine waves with it turned all the way up, and if you are competing with 4000 watts you will have quite a few batteries and you charge them up before with your alternator. Daily driving you might be pushing up to 3000 watts if that and playing music does not use as much power as a sine wave.
