I got pulled over in MD today for doing 9mph over the limit... any way i got $60 and 2 points. my friend told me not to worry about it just pay it because i wont get the points on my DE license. is this true. if iti s ill go pay it tomorrow and forget about it. if not then i have to go to court and crap and i don't feel like having to drive a hour and then miss a day or school and pay court costs ect.

well F***!!!!

Any tips on fighting my case. I'm 18 bin driving for 1.5 years now never pulled over till now. honestly i wouldn't know what to say in court. how hard is it to talk down points.

Also should i pleas guilty or innocent.

60 bucks and only 2 points...you got off easy the same ticket in fla would have been a minimum 180 and 3 points

if its that big a deal to you get a traffic attorney to fight it for you, they can usually get the points off atleast or get the whole thing dismissed

I may do that simply becasue i cant afford my insurance to go up at all. right now im living paycheck to paycheck with every penny going to something. and for it to go up $50-$60 a mounth well thats pulling out of what i spend on rent and ect.

It depends on your insurance company in my experience. I'm with Farm Bureau, and live in AZ. I got pulled over in UT (I HATE that state) about a year and a half ago for doing 76 in a 65. My fault, I was speeding, whatever. I got a ticket obviously, and allegedly 2 points. But I pulled my MVR with AZ a few months ago and it was not on my record. Also, my insurance rates never went up. I don't think the points actually transfer states; I think what people experience is their insurance company running a 50 state MVR.

My cousin got busted for speeding twice in one day, went to court and somehow got no points, one ticket dropped, and one from reckless op to a plain speeding ticket

elect to go to driving school

usually wipes points, and reduces fine.

in FL you can go once every 12 months and 5 times in your life.

dont know about the NE though

No points, reduced fine, just do it...

just pay it. it's only 2 points. it will be gone in 4 years.

I've been busted over state lines with a CDL a few times. I've always just mailed in the check and have yet to get one on my record.

On a side note: I heard that if you send them a check for $1 more than the fine, they will send you a check for the $1. As long as the check is never cashed, the case will never be closed, and the ticket will never be posted to your record. ...that's just what I've been told...

does ure state offer a driving class for extra money that will make it to where ure points wont show up? here in florida they do check if ure state does to
