I dissagree to an extent,if a customer acts like an animal

you have to be firm and stand your ground or you will loose

your shirt.People are often assholes looking to rip off a seller

and that shit dont fly in my business

you can stand your ground without being disrespectful. I didn't say anything about anybody ripping anybody off, although over here, its usually the sellers trying to milk every customer for ever penny he's got. I'm just saying good customer service is a huge part in making a company succeed. you can have the best products available, but if you treat your customers like sh!t, they wont come back.

even if he does provoke the hell out of you, tell me the plus side of snapping back at a customer? I doubt there's any. bad reps spread like wildfire.

but this is just a "dummy's" opinion.

i doubt he would rip off people by telling them it does XXXamps, but benched to do lower than expected. I asked for an alternator, and he told me the biggest he can do is 200amps, even though i asked for a 250 or higher, but he told me it's the biggest he can do direct bolt-on. We need some realworld numbers, proof, testing results besides "it just did a 160".

well here is the timeline:
August 2005- Purchased alt via ca.com group buy

October 2005- installed alt, it was junk straight out of the box

November 2005- sent back for repairs, and got it back

December 2005- hook up alt before i move to florida, in the bitter michigan outdoors, another dead alt. contact nate and made it absolutely clear i wanted a refund. he said he couldn't do it. asked him if he was absolutely sure he could get it back to me by christmas because i was moving to florida. he said yes. i even left a note in the package saying how important it was i get this back by christmas, well he didn't get it back to me as promised, and i was able to get ahold of him before he went on vacation or else he would've shipped it to an empty house in michigan. he then said if he knew i wanted a refund he would've refunded the money. i made it absolutely clear that is what i wanted from the begining

January 2005: back in michigan and received the alt and installed again in the brutal cold. didn't seem right from the begining. flucuating voltage, whining sound etc.

June 2005- it finally dies. decide to go local alt shop.

hey ice my timeline was about the same except my purchase was made in may of 05 and just a month and a half ago got a working one

here is what i had him do scrap the one i had call it a lemon and build me a complete new one everything and if you remember i have a 97 bonneville also

so far everythin is working great. might try that

moral of the story is stop buying stuff like TCAB, SI, ADIRE, etc... these companies are big at one point and then burn ppl when they expand.

hold up there paco. SI hasn't burned anybody to my knowledge

i sure haven't acted like an animal. i'm not looking to rip nate off. all i want is a properly working 250 amp alternator. have i ripped off a seller? i have lots of feedback on this forum, and have never once ripped off a seller. go ahead search the feedback section. how dare you say i'm trying to rip him off

there is no plus side. i worked human resources, and i hate customers as much as anybody, but always had to hold myself.

at what RPM? maybe it was at low idle?

just stating what the alt shop. they said the max output was like 162 amps. also explain then, why it only does 13.5 volts wheras my stock alt does 14.5?

trust me it's the alt. kinda hard to **** up an alt install. after i got it fixed it by the local alt shop, it has worked fine but the guy said it only benched at 160 amps
yeah you really cant f up the install i can do mine in about 15 minute blindfolded

it is the easiest car that i have ever done one on or seen for that matter

I don't think you are in the wrong here at all, teebone.. I think it's Nate who's in the wrong.. I think he should just offer you a refund for the faulty product he sold you.. Seems very simple to me.. It would have made you happy, and in the long run, it would have helped his business.. Instead, he's choosing to ignore you, and now you must retaliate, which I feel is justified.. Now you are costing him sales.. Maybe he thinks this is a better way to run his business? I'll never understand people who run their business like that.. In order to be successful, you must treat all your customers like gold, or else that one unhappy customer has the potential of costing you more than you could ever know.. Much like what is happening now.. I'm behind you 100%..
