i hear ppl saying that pyramid golds are junk but a friend of mine has 2 10's that fu*ckin pound, hurts my chest actually and its only 450 watts and had them for about 4 years!!! anyway i just ordered a lotta stuff from boss audio and i hear that boss is junk and over priced yeah i believe that much but yet is better then pyramid if its better then pyramid i dun think i'd b dissapointed after hearing buddies system

anyway i ordered:

2 dual 12' rippers in a box 1600 watts

Boss RIP 595 Amp 1000watts but isnt actually that much i know

Boss 1 farand capacitor

Boss 3020 head unit

As long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters. If people say it's junk, don't listen ... be proud of your puchase.

What are the specs of the box your ordered? Maybe we can help with the install to help get the most out of your equipment ... it may require you to make a new box but hey, thats a cheap price to pay.

heh, the ever popular BANDPASS! (very sarcastic) but, yeah...it will be loud for what they are...but have very limited frequency response...poor sound quality...and almost all the notes will probably sound the same. Just letting you know what you're in for. Also, i always laugh when i see them...i'd like to see someone actually send 1600 watts rms to those things...lmao. But, if u need any help...let us know, also...if they have a return policy...don't hesitate to USE IT. Gives us a budget...and we could prolly help you figure out a system that will be as loud and sound ten times as good. but, good luck...peace

despite what you think about boss, they arent that bad....the guys i compete with and who work at the store i used to work at don't swear by it, but they do put out their rated power.....not as clean as i'd like, but if the budget were tight i'd get it...

I had a boss 3000revD ( a 3000w amp). I power my 3 10" 800watt subs. IF the amp was 3000w then it would have blown my subs out...I used it at full power for over a year. It still was a decent amp..over heated a few times...no fuses blown..but was overrated quite a bit.

you do realize that is a peak rating, it does about 1500 rms give or take....which is great for the price....

why post the peak then???? only confuses newbs....never seen any great boss amps myself.....always heard horror stories about how overated they are
