DLS UP6 or ARC Audio ACS-265?

I've never heard either (don't have a dealer near for the DLS , haven't been to the ARC dealer), but I know they are similar in price and both have good reviews. My only reference is my set of Infinity Kappa Perfect components which I like, but I'm looking for something with more punch and detail. I mainly listen to hard rock. I'd be using a PPI A200.2 to power them.

Good luck finding any ACS265's in stock anywhere. Go with the DLS's anyway.

Well , we've been installing alot of UP6's at the shop lately due to the lack of ACS265's being in stock (same pricerange). All I can say is IMO the ACS is missed. I prefer the more livelier tweeter and more pronounced and detailed midbass of the ACS. For a 2way passive set the UP6 midbass just doesnt sound as natural; as the treated paper cone of the ACS IMO. The snappiness of the ACS tonalitywise much more credible.

Dont get me wrong the UP6 are a nice sounding set, being so familiar with the Rainbows , the UP6's are a little bland sounding in comparison IMO. Then again some prefer that sound.

But I think what you are coming from even an SLC or MS6 set is an upgrade.
