DLS SP12 vented enclosure?? please help.

on the website it says that the recommended volume differs from whether the voice coils are connected in series or in parellel. http://www.dls.se/en/car/prod.html?produkt=en_138

is this generally true for all subs?

if not, would it really matter if i wired them in series, but built a new box to the parellel specs?

because i built my box according to the series specs(i have two speakers vc's wired in series and speakers wired in parellel) and it is tuned to 50 htz which seems way to high.

quoted from website-

Single VC : Volume 41,9 liter/1,48 cuft, Port: 4" diameter with length 35 cm/13,8". F3= 38,1 Hz

 

Voice coils in parallek: Volume 36,9 liter/1,30 cuft, Port: 3" diameter with length 25 cm/9,84". F3= 30 Hz

 

Voice coils in series. Volume 40,4 liter/1,43 cuft, Port: 4" diameter with length 17 cm/6,7". F3= 50 Hz

I don't think voice coil configuration should affect box size tuning. Maybe their point is the box may change depending on the power you give them. If you have more power, the box can be smaller. If you have less power a bigger box may be optimal, etc.

50htz is definitely too high for daily use in most cases.

yea thats what i was thinking, like 50 htz is good for burps but thats not all im looking for.
