DLS or Adire

Time has come to order subs.

Max Mounting Depth is 5.75 inces so please don't recomend other usbs that have more mounting depth.

Goal = clean Bass taking up as little space as possible.

Was planning on getting 2 Koda 10's but my friend says one is enough for a KC Nissan Titan, he is running one of these off a Brutus.

I like the Fact he can still fold one one of his rear seats and pt crap in the back part of the cab of his truck, if I get 2 subs it will takeup teh sapce under both the rear seats.

Trying to decide which Subs are better

New Koda 10" 18mm excursion, 300 Watts XBL^2 motor, works well in .75cu

or DLS Iridium 10" http://www.dls.se/english/speakers/IR10.htm

I have never heard a DLS Sub how would they compare?

I can run 1 or 2 Koda 10 D4's off my Hifonics Z600 if I opt for DLS a new amp is in order.

Trying to decide if I really need to buy 2 subs or 1, and if I go with one should it be DLS or Adire?

I cannot fit an RLI 10" as easily so I ruled it out. Others say it is possible when I glass a box but I'd hate to end up with subs I cannot quite fit.

Ok well I found some more info on another forum.

Another Guy said he replaced his W7's with them and was Really happy witht hem...

Still no clue how they would sound compared to XBL^2 motored subs.

Running out of time here, with 2 Koda 10" on order. I'm Strongly considering buying a new amp and goign with a single Iridium 10"

Tplaya has not played with the subs yet, and I'm running out of time to make a decision. So if ANYONE has heard these subs please chime in. I'm wondering if they are in the same ballpark as the Kodas even, they have Less X-max but I'm not sure how much that matters.

This thread is all I could find on this forum comparing the DLS to W7's And it looks as though the guy left the forum after being bashed for likeing something different?

Don't buy a driver based on it's motor topology.

Don't get me wrong; XBL^2 is great and is used in some great sounding woofers......but so are "standard" topologies. IMHO you are putting way too much emphasis on it. Hell, I know plenty of people that weren't impressed with a lot of the XBL^2 drivers they've heard compared to "regular" subs.

Make your decisions based on how they sound, not what their motor consists of.

The only subs I can buy that will fit and that I can listen to are JLW3's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif So I guess Thats the only thing I should get then?
