I can clip a woofer to 5% and just hear the Distortion. Do it many days in the lab. Woofers are in the Percents of THD. Seen the THD measurements.

Richard Clark had a CD that traveled around a bit on some clipping and different amplifiers. Was very interesting.....

In a double blind fold test, I would say no, I cannot hear 0.2% THD. 2% maybe. 20% definitely.

So, THD is irrelevant? - NO!! -

A low THD amplifier is a good indication of the quality of the design. Make sure you can back up it with a review. I have seen quite a few, shall we say, overly optimistic THD numbers.
