Distortion? Wiring Problem? Need Input

Recently i just upgraded my wiring to 1/0 kicker wire along with a bxi2006d instead of the 1606d. With the bigger wire and upgraded amp i was hoping to hear a difference in the output. It seems like some notes hit pretty well, but others seem worse now then it was with less power. It almost seems like there is distortion. My settings are practically the same as before along with the HU settings. Could it be a leak in the box? The box is prefab so i know it is shit, but it will have to do until i build one.

Any advice will be appreciated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm at school currently so when i get home i will mess with some stuff and see if i can fix it.

You shouldn't have any negative effects from increasing wire size.

You may have disturbed something along the way...

As far as a leak...if you think there's a possibility, check it. It's very possible you have a leak.

I can't imagine distortion coming from an increase in wire size. Your output is still the same. You just have less trouble providing your amps the power.

yah that is why im dispointed with it, but im thinking it has to do something with the box because some notes are alot better while others have gotten worse, especially the higher notes...but i have time right now to mess with some things

If there were a leak, I would think overall output would suffer, not just certain frequencies.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally adjust something, maybe the x-over somehow?

You probably dont have enough current to feed that beast....

Either way its not a huge difference, adding power is the least efficient way to increase loudness.
