I hear everyone having the old problem all songs are different when talking about setting amp gains correctly, I was wondering if I had a smd dd-1 for example in the cab could I just turn up the stereo until the dd-1 shows distortion? To know the clipping limit, I've set the amp to 5db for mainstream tunes but want to play modified too but obviously the higher record level would clip with the stereo fully up..

Second question, where do you buy dd-1's from everywhere is out of stock and mr meide doesn't reply to my emails

Passively setting a gain is not safe.

look on the forums, they pop up used all the time. Another thing is a lot of people will rent theirs out so you can set yours and send it back to them. Again, take a glance in the for sales section of a few forums
