Dissapointed in birthsheet

this is true most companies rate them at 14.4 volts.

your not gonna get that with most electrical daily drivers.

My car idles roughly at 14.2 so im allready screwed out of 30 watts or so =(

Then you gotta factor in the ac,3 billion sensors in your car, lights, etc

When the system is on I avg 13.7 volts at mid level volume

It depends a lot on temperature also. In 100+ days I'll see around 13.8 at idle, when it dips below 40 or so, I'll see 14.7-8.

I don't get why anyone really cares about birthsheets. Sure they are kind of fun to flaunt, but you never really get that same power it says. Maybe on beefed up electrical systems, but for someone like me to worry about the extra 100 watts kicker said I'm getting is kind of trivial.

Besides when I buy my amps I dont look at what birthsheet it claims, cuz thats like hoping u get the shiny card out of a pokemon pack u paid 5 bucks for.

I buy the amp based on the lowest common denominator I hope to get. If it says 1200.1 mono amp, i better get that 1200 watts. If I get more fine, but don't give me less than what its made to do.

Kicker does that, gives you what you pay for, and its **** well worth it in my experience. You might get that extra power sometimes, but you at least always get what the model says.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

my car idles roughly around 14.9-.8 with lights on. i never need ac because its around 50 degrees daily. with a hk4000d running full tilt all out id drop to around 14v.

I recently bought 2 kicker 1500.1's and both of the birthsheets read exactly 1530Isin't it ironic for both of the amps to read the same EXACT amount? I was hoping to send ~1700 rms to my subs because I saw most birthsheets were rated around there.

So my final question is.............would it be safe to assume I could get ~1700 rms out of them and set the gains using 1700 rms at 2ohm?
Not the best option. But you can clip ya amp. Should get ya the 1700 watts. Problem one honestly you won't hear very little difference and two you are risking the subs lifespan pretty badly
