Gonna do away with my home phone, thinkin of going with Hughes Net Dish for internet. Anyone have this? Or experience with it ? Already have Direct TV, had no problems with it so far.

I've got it, it's kinda inbetween dial up and cable. Then you have bandwith limits, so don't expect to do any downloading. Then the price is $60/mo for the cheapest plan + $200+ for equipment.

Do yourself a favor and get cable.

I looked at it before I got DSL, but it is way too expensive for a decent plan. Depending on what companies are in your area, you don't need phone service to get DSL. With ATT, you just need a physical phone LINE to hook it up. You pay a few dollars a month extra, but you get to forego paying for phone service.

DSL, Cable, or FiOS are going to be your best bets.
