just charge it up by connecting it in parallel to a battery (pos to pos and neg to neg) BUT DONT MIX THIS UP. some capacitors have the tendency to literally explode when their polarity is wrong...i have had a very small capacitor like the size of your thumbnail explode and it left a cloud of yellow smoke (what was left of the dielectric) in my face.- on the other hand- some caps simply hiss, or make no noise at all when you mix em up sometimes it just burns a tiny little hole in the dielectric (chemical stuff inside cap) and thats it...no visual stimulus lol. Although the voltage on a car is only around 12v, the batt is capable of moving alot of current- so that means the power is still there- and its quite possible to get fugged up.
