Disable Trunk Release?

I have a 1997 pontiac grand prix and was wondering if it was possible to disable the trunk release button or make the trunk only openable from a key?

if you dont care about the latch/arnt going to use it again just snip the wire that goes to it..

wow, don't clip anything just unplug the button if it is electric ( do it at the button or in the trunk at the electric trunk motor), if it is manual undo the latch and just unhook the cable.

why the fukc would you tell someone to damage their car if they don't need to?

it takes more then 40 lbs to pop a trunk... but a thief would prob just break the lock on the trunk first it is easyer and quieter.

before i rebuilt my box to be shorter it used to be against the trunk lid near the back and it kept opening on full tilt after a few minutes >.>
