Do you have it?! im thinking of switching but not quite sure.. i have digital cable and the box always freezes up and channels are always messed up they always come out then charge me 30 bucks when have to call to get it off my bill it will work for a week then **** up again. Direct TV has 19.99 for 12 months with contract with free NFL ticket wondering if its worth it.

- I had similar issues with my digital cable until I mounted my cable box where it could breath better, it was overheating in my entertainment center...

had it for 3 years ,until the bill started going up after the first year ,then it would g even higher every 6 months ,til finally had enough and cancelled it

Well mines in the open... guys came out said it was a signal problem.. they fixed it but it always seem to **** up again

I love dtv I have had it since '96 BC of NFL ticket. I rarely have any issues. Besides u will have bill increase with any company.

I've had it for years now and love it. All that BS about signal problems must have been in the past because I've only lost mine literally a handful of times in the last three years. It was to be a pretty severe thunderstorm to kill it.

The only downside is the contracts. With cable you pay month by month, directv will make you sign a 2 year contract, after which you can go month to month and cancel anytime without penalty but during those first two years there's a cancellation fee. Plus those promo rates expire after a year so your second year will cost more. That being said when I planned my switch from cable I ran the numbers and including the higher fees for the second year directv averaged out to be the same price I was paying for cable but my cable was like 50 channels, my directv is more like 250 plus I have two DVR's and the whole home service so I can watch recorded shows in any room...It's definitely more feature rich than any cable provider I've experienced

Anybody have experience with Direc-tv over dish? I'm trying to figure out which would be best? The one thing I'll miss is watching my local nba games... the only station that broadcasts home games is Comcast Sports Net... and once in a while tnt or something.

I have had dish for over 4 years. I only had one rate increase, $4 was all. I get over 350 channels including local, Sirius xm, all sports channels(except NFL games which pisses me off, but I still get locals and NFLredzone, so I get about 10 games a week). Free installation, free moving, free channels all the time, only pay $80 a month. That's with a six dollar free maintenance added. If I decide to **** on my receiver 10 times in a row, they will come out and replace it for free, every time. I honestly don't know why people get directv. I had it for 2 years and horrible customer service, over $120 a month every month.

Meh direct tv tells you 19.99 but then charges you extras. I was looking into it. They sent me something with a 39.99 monthly thing for like basically what I have now with uverse. I called them and by the time they charged for their extras it was over what I was paying. Yes direct tv signal went bad every time it rained
