dimming/config question

alright i have a tsunami 1100d, 1100 watts at 1 ohm i was running a dual 2 ohm sub on this amp at 1 ohm for a while and my lights dimmed terribly. now i have 2 8 ohm subs so this amp will only be putting out 330 watts at 4 ohms. will it draw the same amount of power from my battery and dim just as much (because it's not as efficient), or will it only draw 330 watts? thanks.

It will draw more than 330 watts from your charging system (alt/battery) because the amp isn't 100% efficient. It needs to draw more than what it will output because some of that input power is lost as heat and such. However, when only running 330w it will draw much less current from the charging system than it did when outputing 1100w.
