dilemma 360 or ps3

Thousands of dollars? WTF are you smoking? A PS3 can be had for 300-400 dollars easy. And thats the best blu-ray player to date due to its ability to upgrade firmware. Now dont think im a sony dickrider because I have owned a 360 since it came out and just sold mine but am planning to get an elite soon. But HD-DVD lost.

i know hd lost. but i sometimes wonder if they had named hd dvd something different(something cooler) and pushed it a little more if it would have won?

if you want a system for games get the 360. No mater how much people say shit xbox live wins hands down for online play. you havnt really played video games until u play with people form all over the world trust me its a lot more fun and well worth the cost. if you want to watch movie then get the ps3. as a gaming machine i wouldn't get it i prefer the 360 anyday.

To BMXfeg, I have the PS3 and my mom has the Panasonic Blu Ray player that is some cheese, but for good reason. Her blu ray pwns my PS3 and we both have the same TV. Sony Bravia XBR5.

I also have the premium XBOX 360 and I would much rather play my PS3. I am still waiting on my buddy to give me the money for my xbox. 2 months now!

I will disagree about the gaming selection. The 360 has so many different offerings and upgrades for games. However, the PS3 is a sick machine. I will definitely pick one up, hopefully while they still incorporate backwards compatibility.

The 40gb version you will not have the backward capabilities, not sure if that matters to you. Second of all what types of games do you like playing, FPS, Sports, RPG, Fighting, Racing? If you like FPS and online play I prefer the 360 anyday, I have tried playing COD4 on the PS3 and I just can't f'n play it with that controller layout. I'd pick the PS3 if I really want a blu-ray player along with it, main gaming system I'd pick a xbox 360 also.

ps3, you never have to worry about it breaking down like the 360

they dont break down because some dont even get played enough to break down... mine is collecting dust, while my 360 gets playtime by me and my nephews all the time. im waiting on MGS, and Gran Turismo. For now the Ps3 has sh1tty games.
