ok , since mine broke, i need a new one.

im really interested in the canon sd600/630. i seen some people on here have em and made some pretty decent vids of thier subs n shit.

should i go for it? pros? cons?

trying to keep it small , simple but performance heavy.

I have the SD 630 and love it. Be sure to get a big memory card to do long videos.

i seen it at work today (sears) , pricey there but pricematch ftw. looks nice , they didnt have power to it though so whatever.

hows the picture quality? last cam i had was a old kodak 2.0mp i bought for 120 when they first came out lol. so im sure itll be much better than what i had.

link any pics youve taken with it?

i seen teh sd600 had a small viewfinder , but i never used it with my last cam. but also that the 3"lcd has the same resolution as the 2.5". worth the extra?

bigger screen equals less battery life.

im really interested in the SD 600 as well, but im not impressed with the "190" shot battery life. that makes an extra battery almost a necessety.

Im looking at the panasonic dmc-fx3, not only is it 50 dollars cheaper, has comparable image quality (acording to sample images) but it has a battery life of like 360 pics. and it looks good and feels solid

thats what i was thinking about the bigger screen , shorter batt life.

i was feeling all up on the cams they had on display. the sd600 has a pretty quality build, but it was strapped to the display shelf so i couldnt get a full feel of it but yeh , i liked it.

im still open to suggestions but i think im leanin towards the sd600.

well after more research the sd630 doesnt have any shorter batt life, but that 3" screen is pretty nice. i might go for the sd630

the sd630 looks better thna the sd600. more of a silver finish (sd630) than the copper?ish color.

i probably wont be getting mine for a few weeks or so...

i keep seeing people say that canon's powershot cams have a cheap feel to em. i havnt got to fully hold the cam so i really wouldnt know...

Yeah the A series cameras are kinda cheap feeling. The SD series are the real deal.
