Difference?

Okay im looking at alpine type R's and i realize that there are different product numbers to choose from.

SWR-1221D and SWR-1222D----whats the difference?

and then

SWR-1241D and SWR 1242D----Whats the difference?

um im gonna take a guess and say that the 1221d is a single vc 2 ohm, the 22d is a dual 2ohm, and same for the 41 and 42, single and dual vc configs

The 1221D is the older Type R version along with the 1241D. The 1221D is D2 and 1241D is D4 IIRC.

The 1222D is D2 '05+ Type R and 1242D is D4 '05+

Go with the 1222D or 1242D

Ummm i havnt purchased an amp. I will do so when i decide what subs im going to be powering. Im hoping at least (2) 12'' Type R's.

if your gonna get two, get the dual 4 ohm models, they will wire down to 1ohm and it will be easiest to get power to them for cheaper
