how much does the car matter from a hatchback or suv to a car with a truck does the change the sound of the woofers a lot and is there anything that you could do to make it sound better?

just wondering cause a friend of mine had a 15 inch type r in a sealed box and it sounded way better then the 12inch w6 I used to have but mine was in a trunk and his in a suv

His was probably much louder which, due to psychoacoutic effects, sounds "better" to most people.

Compared to a W6? Yes.

From what I've read subs will usually sound better in a hatch or suv because the sub is in the same airspace as the listener. I've heard you can get subs in trunks to sound better by porting your trunk.

Again it comes down to volume, not necessarily quality.
