Difference between subs

I am thinking about selling my American bass xfl 12s but have a few questions. First off besides obviously rms rating and the cone size of a sub how much different can you get subwoofers to sound from a $100 sub to a $300 sub. Both being 12in and say 750w. Secondly if I do sell my subs can even get anything better without spending double what I paid for them?

It'll be hard to get something better than the XFL's for the price without spending double the cost.

and an $100 sub in a optimal box will sound 100% better than a $300 sub in a ****** box

True like already said. Difference. Really will be parts used efficiency of the sub and either hand built or done on a assembly line where the finished product isn't scrutinized as much as a hand built one at a time from start to finish
