Difference Between Lower End Vs. Higher End Same Brand American Bass

What would be the difference between the XD-10d2 and the XFL-1022? The rms wattage doubles, just curios how much of a difference? I know there will be some, but will it be an enormous gain? And then what about the HD-10 D2? And I have the amp to push all of those subs, but I need to stay dual 2ohm as to keep my amp bridged at 1ohm. Thanks
 
If you have the power on Tap.. and willing to do a dual sub enclosure.. Grab another DVC2 XD and run 2ohm. I ran two A.Bass DVC2 ohm tens @2 ohm And would swapp for my S.Qubed HDS 310s DVC2 ohm subs on an Old Mmats D300HC on approx. 1500rms in a 99 CRV and it was all I could do from rippling the roof apart. I wanted to throw more power at them, but... I was afraid of breaking weld joints, and issues. I may have?? I never took the H.Liner down. I wasnt going to spend any $ on Bracing the roof in that vehicle
 
XFL's are some of my favorite woofers. The HD's are some of my classic favorites, too. I've done some stupid loud stuff with XFL's and HD's.

Once you get to the 1000-1500w range, that's when many woofer brands have super capable woofers. The way the woofers play at that power level tends to leave more room for more custom enclosures, because usually there's a bit more Xmax, the woofers will tend to play lower more strongly, and all around become more capable woofers. That's a generalized statement, but I probably wouldn't run less than 750-1000 watts per woofer due to simply the lack of capability of some of the lower powered woofers.
 
I'd rather have say a 1000w 15 than 2 500 watt 10's in a ported box. Only low powered stuff I'd really run is something like an IB capable woofer of 500-600w in a t-line or something, that would work well. But I prefer at least 750w per woofer, if not more like 1000w, just due to most companies inherent design features at those power levels. I do love my lows.

I did the opposite. Two 5000rms subwoofers to 8 750rms lol
