Obviously, i know there is a difference in diameter but anything else? sounds, power, etc? ive got 2 12's in my closet right now and ive got a honda prelude, 5th gen. from what ive heard, with todays technology, 8's, 10's, 12's, 15's COULD all hit the same, based on enclosure, amp, car, etc.

im just wondering what you guys think on the whole difference matter.

very true.

there isn't really a whole lot to differentiate between 10's and 12's. the 10's will seem a bit punchier, 12's will be slightly louder and possibly drop slightly lower. however, it all depends on what subwoofer you're getting, and most importantly, what box. you can dump $250 on each sub but if you put them in an improper box then at that point you're just wasting money.

if you have 2 12's, might as well just keep them (unless they are shitty).

12's have more cone area' date=' and generally a proportionally higher Fs.[/quote']
this may be true under some circumstances, however, i can say for a fact that my 8's hit just as low and just as loud as my friend's 12's on the same power.
