Die 56k!!!

I still have a 9600bps modem lying around here somewhere...anyone want it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Perfect for browsing those text BBS's and Telnetting into your favorite MUDs. Intel 286 machine not included...

Why don't u get the 50mbps service, wuss..
because in reality you will rarely reach those speeds since most servers on the otherside cap their limit. i've found some good servers that peak at 10mbps, so i have yet to even use my full bandwidth. but a static ip and unmonitored upload makes the 50mbps package tempting.

I'm on an OC-3; But so are the other 400 people in the building;

My BROADBANDREPORTS.COM speed is;

2005-07-12 09:39:49 EST: 2170 / 1519

Your download speed : 2222456 bps, or 2170 kbps.

A 271.2 KB/sec transfer rate.

Your upload speed : 1555566 bps, or 1519 kbps.

I still have an old XT 8086 in my garage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Space invaders is fun!!!

i have cable and got the 4 mb/s service although they do have a 6 mb/s that wouldn't be worth it. my fastest dl speeds have gone upto 500+ kbps.

imo cable ownz dsl but to be honest i have never been on a computer using dsl.

and too bad fios isn't even available in my area or else i would snatch that up.

I'm on dial up! Service provider is called "isp.com". Figure that out. =p Since switching to Linux it's not that bad, I get a constant 4.8-6.0kbps down and 3.5-4.0 up for binary, and 9 to 12 kbps down and 5.0-6.0 up for ASCII. In Windows XP Pro I run a consistant 1.1 down (binary and text), and I'm too scared to try uploading on it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hide.gif.2d479cfd917eedfe201353b91522ceab.gif
