I voted, and I am very upset about the results. So far I am the only MD person in this thread that said they have voted. For any other Maryland people who voted Democrat for Gov, I need to know exactly why you voted. Seriously!

 

O'Malley failed in Balitmore City, he is a big time whiner, he rejected help for some of the worst schools in the country even though the state provided millions of dollars, crime is still very high, murder is still high. He failed PERIOD!, so now people blindly voted democrat because this state is largely democrat, and they voted in someone who failed in the city, so he can now run the state. Excellent thinking there. Our current Gov, did a decent job, made huge gains in the economy, turned a deficit into a surplus. Schools got better in the state, while they got worse in the city. I am flat out appauled by the result, and what is even worse is that O'Malley is going to do to the state what he did to the city. His goal from day one was to get to the white house and he did not care who he screwed or what he messed up to get there.

I always hate it when voting time comes around. Why?

1. Constant bombardment of automated phone calls trying to promote some lying, two-faced, white bastard that you know nothing about. (Nothing against white people, but let’s face it, a majority of political candidates are white.)

2. An endless sea of propaganda on television networks of candidates shitting on each other to gain popularity. It's just childish.

3. Arrogant people that look down on you for YOUR OWN DECISION not to vote.

4. People who think their vote will make a difference in this country. Can you really believe your vote counts after President Bush's infamous recall election? Hanging chads? Yea right.... How about after they found a ton of ballots on the side of the freeway in Florida after Bush, “Won” the election?

Tell me this, for all you people that voted in the past. How many of you voted for Bush? If you answer yes,

YOU are responsible for the women and children who die everyday in Iraq.

YOU are responsible for the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives in the armed services.

YOU are responsible for the huge economic sacrifice to fund the wars when our social infrastructure is suffering from lack of funds.

YOU are responsible for the Trillions of dollars in debt we’re currently in.

YOU are responsible for electing a blubbering President who can't deliever a speech without countless errors. A president who can't find an exit door if his life depended on it. etc...

I guess I have to retract statement #4 because I just realized YOUR vote does count, and no matter whom you vote for, all these negative aspects will present themselves because all politicians are crooked.
