Ok ok **** this thread is FUNNY
FIrst off let me say that I made the mistake of Listening to Ku-Sama when I first got my car, and I did buy all of my subs, amps and speakers and EVERYTHING at
sonicelectronix.com. I didnt read anything about audio, and BARELY knew anything at all, and Ku-sama(Mike) barely knew anything at all(though it seemed like he did to me because I was a dumbass and didnt know anything)
so I bought a JVC, 2 Nitro subs, Power acoustik amp, crunch amp, and 2 front and rear coaxils...and all the wiring. and I Spent probbaly about $550 or so on the whole system.
Then I went on the forum last fall and got *****ed at from almost everyone on the forum, and it sunk in real hard, and I wanted to learn about car audio. So I spent hours and hours reading threads, and learning ALOT of stuff vs anything I knew in summer of 2006.
About a month or 2 ago my alternator went bad, and I figured that I had done enough reading(and had enough advice) mostly from jmanpc(who is a lifesaver lol) that I wanted to buy a new system and go in the right direction.
So first I sold the PA amp, and 5 farad cap,I probably spent about $240 on it and I got back $185.
I was going to sell everything I had pretty much start over as I said when mike(ku-sama) told me he wanted to buy my cheap shit from me(as you all know because he wanted to upgrade his system)
First off let me explain that I TOLD HIM not to go the cheap route, that I had PERSONALLY learned the hard way that buying cheap shit not only will waste your time, it will waste your money. I told him to just ****ing save for a good system and buy it piece by piece. I owed him $100, from a set of DA's that he lent to me, that I really didnt even use.
So hes getting my crunch amp(4 channel) 2 12" nitro subs, the dual bandpass box, JVC head unit and pretty much whatever else im not using anymore because it SUCKS at a good price because hes my good friend.
NOW this is what I have done/and or going to do to my next system within 2 weeks or so. I have planned this out and bought everything at a good price(I am the cheapest mofo you will ever find, which is why my dumbass bought cheap subs and stuff to begin with.)
Mind you that I have learned ALOT since I first started, and I think I have done a good job
1. I did the big 3 with 1/0 wire, Fused it with a 200amp(Costed about) $60
2. I bought a brand new 160amp alternator (since my old one died) $150
3. I bought a Kinetic Hc600 Brand new for I think $103 shipped
4. CDT CL-61A comps brand new for the front woofersetc.com for $100 shipped
5. Kicker 650.4 4 channel amp refurbished by kicker for $175 shipped
6. Kicker 15 inch L7 BRAND NEW for $205 shipped
7. Hifonics 1606d Brand new for $250(going to get a discount because shipping took 3 weeks to get)
8. Pioneer 5900IB brand new Head unit for $160 shipped.
9. Going to make my own box(with these plans minus the circle opening for the L7) for like $50

Im probably going to need some more speaker wire, and some more 4awg wire to run to the back because that L7 is going to wang in that 5cf 32hz box.
So all in all I spent give a few dollars about $1250 on that setup, Oh yeah and im going to sound dampen the interior of my door panels, and my trunk, along with a few other accessories, so lets say about $1300(with a few other add ons) for my new system. Now what I should have freakin done was save that $550 I spent on the first system and just bought a good system from the start.
You live, you learn. Im just glad I looked around and found a Brand new L7 15 incher for just $205 shipped, I couldnt find that anywhere cheaper.
If you can find anything I listed that I bought BRAND NEW shipped for a better price than I paid, please let me know so I can kick my own A$$. Otherwise let me know how I did This time around compared to last time?

Oh yeah hence the avitar I have, its from when I first installed my system and had speakers on my headrests LMAO I think thats the funniest thing ever!!! the speaker of course is gone by now, I just keep it there so I can remind myself what a dumbass I was!
