Uh oh...Here is how I have it wired..Im linking to pic becaue it is LARGE. LINK TO WIRING PIC

It is a Dual 2 ohm voice coil configured sub. I have the positive and negative of one coil wired together, is that how your supposed to do it? Or wrong? Should I have the positive of the side that is bridged together going to the other voicecoil negative or? It doesn't look right and I don't think it is.

So would someone please tell me how to do this right, or is it?

Im thinking I need it wired where a positive comes from amp, and the negative next to that goes to the positive on other voicecoil, then the negative of that voicecoil goes to negative on amp? Correct?

are you trying to wire it in series? here you go...

Its dual 2 ohm voicecoil, and I want a 4 ohm load so?
No that is NOT wired right. If you want to wire it in series, you connect the + of one coil to the amp and the - of the OTHER coil to the amp, and then you connect the - of the first coil to the + of the 2nd coil.

EDIT: **** you undercover, beat me to it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

DOH, I fudged up. I have the positive and negative from amp going to one voicecoil, then positive and negative of other voicecoil brdiged. **** im a retard. So dumb question. Is that presenting my amp with a two ohm load wired how it is? My amp is only 4 ohm stabled bridged and its bridged at 2 ohms the way it is now? What kept my amp from going into protect mode? I haven't been running the sub lone(a week) how it is so i didn't ruin it did I?

yes it would be presenting a 2 ohm load to the amp as is. Check the resistance on both coils with a multimeter.

What will testing it with a multimeter do? I don't know how to test resistance with it like that? So will wiring this correctly make it louder or? Also when I wire it do i just want the wire long enough to wrap around to other negative or will having it loose and flop make noise or?

What are the chances I ruined something? :-(

What the hell kept my amp from going into protect mode is my question? It is only 4 ohm stable bridged?

just check the resistance on each **** coil and pray to god you didn't **** one up... I'm out...

P.s. you should be ok if the coils are =

Right now you only are giving power to one VC, wiring it the correct way will give power to both VCs, yes it should be noticably louder, as long as the sub is still in working order.

Thanks guys, each and every one of you. You got me worried to hell..So worried that at 12:30 at night, im going to go outside and get my woofer outta my truck, bring it in and check it all..hehe thanks a FRIGGIN lot, the neighbors are prolly going to call the **** cops but yeah...

yup you fuked up wiring it like that but its ok you didnt hurt it just wire it correctly and enjoy

the amp didn't go into protect because its a solid amp, you probably haven't hurt the amp

if you didn't crank it loud if you did then you may have caused minimal damage... just hook

it up correctly and you should be fine

Hurt amp or sub?
