Did I wire my 5 channel amp correctly?

Hey guys, I have the following equipment installed in my car:

JVC-KW910BT headunit

Precision Power BA2200.5 5 channel amp

4 Scosche HD6503A mids

1 Alpine SWR-1042D sub

To connect to the 5 channel amp, I ran 4 channel(9 conductor) Speedwire from the Metra harness and taped off the speaker wires coming from the JVC unit's harness.

My headunit only has 4 preouts(2 front, 2 rear/sub). I also ran two sets of rca's from the back of the headunit, to the amp in the trunk. I connected the speaker leads into each of their respective channels(4) and connected the rear/sub rca's to the 5th channel.

I took the rca's off the front channel and added y-splitters to each end and connected then into the front and rear rca inputs on the amp since the amp does not have a input selector switch. I'm assuming this would give me mono signal instead of stereo, correct?

I also set the headunit to read the rear channel as a subwoofer.

Based off that novel, did I connect everything properly? Suggestions, critiques, anything would be helpful!

Thanks!

PS: My setup is changing real soon but I just wanted to get the best out of my current system.

Looks right, but I'm not clear on the metra harness and taped off speaker wire. Why is that there if you're using RCAs?

That's sort of what I meant by did I wire it correctly.

I bypassed the JVC-KW910BT wiring harness and ran the Speedwire off the speaker wires on the Metra harness.

Am I defeating the purpose of the Speedwire if I ran rca's off the front channel?

Only time you'd need to use that is when you're using the unit's amplifier, which you appear to not be. I still don't get where those wires are going to lol

The Speedwire wires are running from the Metra harness, to the 5 channel amp. I also have the front channel rca's off the radio running to a pair of y-splitters then to the front and rear channels on the amp.

You need to get rid of the harness and everything that's connected to it. The RCA outputs send all the required signal to the amp. You did right with the Y-connectors and setting the rear channels to sub out.
