Did I upgrade or accidentally downgrade?!?!

So im running some Alpine co-axial's up front. SPS-600....i just got my PG RSD's components in the mail. The Aplines currently have 50 RMS ran to them and the PG's will have 50 watts as well. Will it be an upgrade in my front stage...was it worth it before I install em? Opinions? Will I notice a diffence? How does Alpine comapare to PG? THANKS!!

Yes i will be an upgrade. Coaxials and components don't generally compare well, the external crossovers play a huge role in how good speakers sound.

Some of the priciest home audio speakers use run of the mill off the shelf drivers, the crossover is where the refinement comes from.

it is a very good upgrade... those pg rsds are very nice speakers
